1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using StudyKit ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
StudyKit is an academic planning and organization application designed to help students manage their courses, assignments, schedules, grades, and study time. The App is available on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS platforms.
Core features include:
- Course and semester management
- Assignment tracking with due dates and grades
- Calendar and schedule organization
- Study session timer with productivity tracking
- Grade calculation and GPA tracking
- Cloud sync across your Apple devices
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App. If you are under 13, you may only use the App with verified parental consent.
4. User Accounts
- You may use the App without an account for local-only functionality
- Creating an account enables cloud synchronization across your devices
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account
- You may delete your account at any time through the App settings
5. Subscriptions and Payments
StudyKit offers free features and optional premium subscriptions:
- Free Tier: Core features are available at no cost
- Premium Subscriptions: Additional features available through in-app purchase
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple (App Store) according to your chosen plan (monthly or annual)
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies
- Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect
6. User Content
You retain all rights to the content you create within the App. By using the App, you grant us permission to:
- Store your content locally on your device
- Sync your content to our servers when you are signed in
- Display your content within the App
- Create backup copies of your content for data protection
7. File Uploads
The App allows you to upload files such as syllabus photos and assignment attachments:
- Size Limit: Individual files may not exceed 25 MB
- Acceptable Content: You may only upload content you have the right to use (your own photos, documents, etc.)
- Prohibited Content: You may not upload illegal content, malware, or content that violates others' rights
- Storage: Uploaded files count toward any applicable storage limits
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Distribute malicious software or content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or servers
- Use the App for any commercial purposes without our written consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Share your account credentials with others
9. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SoftwareKit LLC and are protected by copyright law. This includes:
- App design and user interface
- Source code
- Documentation and marketing materials
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- The App will meet your requirements
- The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the App will be corrected
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoftwareKit LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any unauthorized access to your data
- Any interruption or cessation of service
- Any bugs, viruses, or errors in the App
- Any loss of data or academic information
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding any claim.
12. Educational Purpose Disclaimer
StudyKit is designed as a personal organization tool to assist with academic planning. Important disclaimers:
- Not Official Records: Data in StudyKit is not a substitute for official academic records, transcripts, or institutional systems
- Grade Calculations: Grade calculations are estimates based on your input and may not match your institution's calculations
- No Academic Advice: The App does not provide professional academic, financial, or career advice
- Your Responsibility: You are responsible for verifying important dates, grades, and requirements with your institution
- Data Accuracy: We are not responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate data entry or calculations
13. Updates and Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the App or any features at any time
- Update these Terms with reasonable notice
- Change features, functionality, or pricing
- Require App updates for continued use
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App:
- Immediately for violation of these Terms
- If required by law
- If we discontinue the service (with reasonable notice)
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App ceases immediately
- You may export your data before termination takes effect (where possible)
- We may delete your data according to our data retention policies
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation
- If unresolved, binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association
- Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions

17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SoftwareKit LLC regarding the use of the App, superseding any prior agreements.
